Flights

Charleston International Airport (CHS) is a small airport with no direct flights. We suggest connecting through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) with at least an hour layover. Pending the airline (and luck) you may have to take a tram to another terminal for your connection. We have had it take up to 30 minutes to make the walk if the gates are at opposite ends of different terminals. We fly Delta, and this happens 9 out of 10 times :)

Accommodations

Charleston has many unique, historical hotels with their own story and style. For this reason, we did not reserve a hotel block and encourage you to explore the city and the experience you’re looking for. That said, we will be staying at The Spectator, and they have provided some discount codes for their properties in the area.

Spectator Hotel - 10% off - One of our favorite hotels in the city, our cocktail hour will be hosted in their bar. It is a newer art deco-inspired hotel.

Rental Car

Charleston is a very walkable city, and the weather should be beautiful and warm in May. The roads are narrow as they were originally planned for carriages and mostly made of cobblestone, so traveling by car isn’t as ideal. Most hotels will offer valet (although at a premium), so if you’d like to park your car in a 24-hour lot, the one below is great and only a 7-10 minute walk to Market Street.

24 Hour Parking Garage (must speak with an attendant if not moving your car for more than 72 hours)

Address: 85 Queen St, Charleston, SC 29401
